The Merkur Innsbruckathlon is a city-centred obstacle run presented as part of the beat the city series. The race threads through central Innsbruck with an urban sightseeing route that passes landmarks such as the Goldenes Dachl and offers views of the Nordkette, includes climbs up Bergisel and returns to the city with a mix of natural and artificial obstacles. The main format is advertised as a challenging 10+ km course with 20+ obstacles and a shorter 5+ km option with roughly 10 obstacles, combining sightseeing with obstacle race elements.
Entries are taken via the MaxFun registration platform and the event page advertises a time-limited SPRING20 promotion (20% off, valid until 2026-03-23). The organiser publishes start blocks and fixed wave start times; on-site services listed include aid stations on course, baggage storage, showers and finish-area catering, and the bib offers a free IVB transit window for local public transport. The Innsbruck edition is organised by CompanyCode Werbe GmbH as part of the beat the city series and features team discounts and series-wide rankings (beat the city–Wertung powered by Krone).
