The MAIF Ekiden de Paris 2026 is a team relay running event held in Paris and presented under the ekiden format, where six runners combine to cover the marathon distance. An ekiden is described by the organisers as "the Coupe Davis for the runners", emphasising teamwork and club or corporate participation. Teams run the marathon distance in six legs with the sequence 5 km–10 km–5 km–10 km–5 km–7.195 km, and the event is aimed at elites, clubs, companies and recreational runners alike. The official event branding uses MAIF in the title and the race is scheduled for early November 2026.
The route follows the Seine and passes many Parisian landmarks, with the finish on the Pont d'Iéna in front of the Eiffel Tower and large spectator crowds. The course is largely flat and run on the quays, offering views of Trocadéro, Musée d'Orsay, Champ de Mars and other highlights along the river. A race village and related activities are typically held the day before, and the relay format uses a belt as the baton for exchanges in designated relay zones. Participants and spectators are advised to use Paris public transport to access the start/finish area near the Eiffel Tower.
