      The race starts at an altitude of 870m. It takes the runners over seven passes each over 2,500m above sea level. The highest point is the Cameraccio pass at 2,950m. <br><br>The runners will climb a total of 4,200m, run through moraines, snowfields, along exposes crests. Some technical section have fixed ropes to ensure the runners safety. <br><br>The event takes place every other year.
