Start/finish outside Riverside Shopping Centre, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1BT, United Kingdom
The Hemel Hempstead 10k is a scenic, fully closed-road 10-kilometre race held in the town centre of Hemel Hempstead. The event starts and finishes outside the Riverside Shopping Centre and is organised in support of the local charity DENS. It is open to runners of all abilities, from first-time 10k entrants to experienced athletes chasing a personal best, and the race is chip timed for official results. Full road closures and town-centre routing create a safe and spectator-friendly environment for participants and onlookers.
The undulating route passes notable local landmarks including the Water Gardens, Hemel Hempstead town centre, the Old Town High Street and Gadebridge Park, and is run over two laps of the course. The event is promoted by RunThrough and offers charity places and fundraising options through DENS, including limited-edition running tops and a finisher medal for supporters registering via the charity route. Participants can expect water provision on-course and post-race facilities in the event village, with paid parking available nearby and rail access within walking distance of the start.
