Heart Run Lower Austria - 2026

Herzlauf Niederösterreich - 2026 is a regional edition of the Herzlauf charity run taking place on 26 September 2026 in Purkersdorf. The event page makes clear that the race is open to all abilities — "Ob Laufanfänger, Fortgeschrittene oder Profiläufer, jeder ist herzlich willkommen" — and that proceeds support Herzkinder Österreich, with donations tax-deductible. The event combines competitive and mass-participation formats and explicitly welcomes families, clubs and first-time runners under the motto "Achte auf dein Herz und laufe für meins!".

The day features multiple distances (4.35 km and 8.7 km), a Nordic Walking option and a comprehensive children's programme with Bambini, Kinder, Jugend and Teens races. Timekeeping is provided by TIME NOW SPORTS using RFID bib timing (chip on the back of the bib), all finishers receive a medal and a goodie bag at bib pickup, and results/certificates are available via the timing provider. Prizes and trophies are awarded (siegerehrung from 13:00) and the event offers on-site services including catering and changing facilities to support participants and spectators.
