Am Sportplatz 1, 4682 Geboltskirchen, Austria
The Hausruck Challenge is a one-day running event centred on Geboltskirchen that highlights the forested Hausruckwald. The main race covers 26.2 kilometres with about 420 metres of ascent and a very low proportion of asphalt, while shorter options including the 6.6 km Light Challenge and Nordic Walking Challenge make the day accessible to a wide range of participants. The event is organised by LC MKW Hausruck and carries local sponsorship, with on-site services and course maps supplied by the organisers. Five well-placed aid stations support runners along the routes.
Logistics are participant-friendly: the race office and bib collection open at Volksschule Geboltskirchen from 12:30, with staggered mass starts for the various categories and dedicated shuttles for selected disciplines. All participants receive a starter sackerl and the first 100 Hausruck Challenge or Split Challenge entrants receive a starter T-shirt, and official results and course records are published on the event website. Prizes include daily podium awards and a course-record bonus, and the organisers provide route GPX and detailed infoblatte documents for competitors.
