The Hartfüssler Trail (also written Hartfüßler-Trail) is a one-day, multi-distance trail running festival organised by HartfüsslerTrail e.V. in Saarbrücken. Held on Sunday 23 August 2026, the event is centred on the Von der Heydt district with the principal start/finish at the Von der Heydt school (Schule für soziale Entwicklung). Distances run from short community-friendly routes (from 7.5 km) up to a 58 km ultramarathon; the ultra distances carry UTMB World Series index status and are relevant for international qualification and ranking.
Race day uses professional chip timing and provides finisher recognition (medal and finisher gift) and awards for placed athletes. The organiser publishes GPX route files shortly before the event and on the official website; longer distances require mandatory safety/equipment checks. The event emphasises sustainability (no disposable cups / own-cup policy at aid stations) and participant self-sufficiency. Services on site include timed results, multiple volunteer-staffed aid stations with food and drinks, medical support, secure bag drop, and finisher medals and gifts. The organiser enforces clear cut-off times to ensure runner safety. Participation is limited (up to 800 entrants) and registration is handled via the organiser's website and RaceResult pages where start lists, GPX tracks and detailed competitor information are published.
