Start/Finish at STADT‑GALERIE / Hamelner Hochzeitshaus (Pferdemarkt), Hameln
The Hamelner STADT-GALERIE-Lauf is an annual road running event in Hameln, Germany, with the 36th edition scheduled for 18 April 2026. The race is held on a DLV‑measured 1000m loop through Hameln's historic Altstadt with start and finish at the STADT‑GALERIE / Hamelner Hochzeitshaus on the Pferdemarkt. The course is used for a variety of distances on the same measured circuit and the event is organised in accordance with NLV approval and DLV rules. Chip timing is employed and the organisers award cash prizes, trophies and certificates.
Race types on the day include a Bambinilauf, a Schülerlauf for local primary schools, a 1,000 m Elite‑Sprint, a 5 km road race (including a company/team category) and a 10 km road race, all taking place on the measured city circuit. Drinks are provided on course and further logistical and regulatory details are published in the official Ausschreibung PDF and on the event website. Entrants register via the RaceResult portal where live results and participant lists are also hosted. The repeated laps through the old town make the event accessible and spectator‑friendly.
