Jahnkampfbahn, Linnering 3, 22299 Hamburg, Germany
The Hamburger Osterlauf (Hamburger Easter Run) is a family-friendly running event held on Easter Monday with start and finish at the Jahnkampfbahn in Hamburg Stadtpark. The programme includes multiple races for all ages: short untimed children’s races (400 m Kükenlauf and 800 m Schäfchenlauf), a 1,600 m youth race and timed 5 km and 10 km races for older youth and adults. Runners follow a clearly marked 2.5 km loop through the Sierichsche Gehölz for the main races; timing is electronic for the 1,600 m, 5 km and 10 km races while the youngest children’s events are untimed. The organiser emphasises family participation, age-group awards for the timed races and community volunteering.
Online registration is handled via the organiser's registration portal (RaceResult is used for results). Personalised bibs require registration by 25 March 2026; bib pick-up is available from 2 April and on race weekend. Late online entries and on-site entries (up to 30 minutes before each start where spaces remain) are possible subject to capacity. The official Ausschreibung and event page set out rules, safety notes and the published finish cutoff (Zielschluss) of 12:00 on race day.
On-site facilities at the Jahnkampfbahn include toilets, changing rooms and showers, a supervised/secure bag drop (with bib), post-race refreshments (water and fruit) and the ability to print certificates after the race. Medals are provided for children and youth categories and are available to adults while stocks last.
