The Georgenberger Frühlingslauf is a community spring running event held on Georgenberg with start and finish at the Wotrubakirche. The course runs through the Maurer Wald and offers a mix of forest and meadow trail terrain suitable for families and recreational runners. Distances range from a 200 m Kids Fun Run and an 800 m Junior Trail Run up to a 5 km and 10 km trail run, plus a 5 km trail walk, providing options for all ages and abilities.
The event is organised by a volunteer organising team to support the preservation and renovation of the Wotrubakirche and an annually chosen local social project. Entry includes a post-race meal (a portion of pasta or Kaiserschmarrn) presented on proof of bib, and there is a children’s programme and additional culinary offerings at the event village.
