Piste des Géants (between l’Envol des Pionniers and Halle de la Machine), Montaudran, Toulouse
Ekiden Toulouse is a six‑person marathon relay (42.195 km) held on Sunday 5 April 2026, presented by the local organising clubs. The race, billed as "Ekiden Toulouse", follows a course set around the Piste des Géants with a dramatic backdrop provided by the installations of La Machine; the start area is located between l’Envol des Pionniers and the Halle de la Machine. The event is presented as a collective, convivial experience that suits a range of abilities and teams, and the organiser has limited entries to 400 teams for the inaugural edition.
The format divides the marathon into six legs (5 km, 10 km, 5 km, 10 km, 5 km and 7.195 km) so each team member runs a distinct segment and every relay runner receives a commemorative medal. Practical arrangements such as bib collection (the day before and the day prior to racing) and clearly signposted relay-exchange areas on the Piste des Géants are provided by the organisers to support teams and spectators. The event is organised locally by Triathlon Toulouse Métropole in collaboration with CA Balma and the organising committee, emphasising local culture and a spectator‑friendly route through Montaudran and surrounding landmarks.
