Canal du Midi, Toulouse → Béziers, France
Canal du Midi Expérience is a team relay running event that follows the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi from Toulouse to Béziers. The event offers three formats — L'Étape (50 km), La Traversée / La Descente (100 km), and L'Intégrale (200 km) — and is presented as a collective, solidarity challenge where teams of runners share the course in timed relays. Each format includes official timing for every relay, medical support and staffed refreshment points, and finishing medals with additional items for the full 200 km edition.
The route highlights historic towns including Castelnaudary, Carcassonne and Le Somail and spreads across two days for the full edition (23–24 May 2026). Participation is team-based (teams of 3–5 relayeurs depending on format) with a required team captain to register and validate entries via the Chrono-Start registration platform. The organiser emphasises safety and logistics with on-course medical provision, clear relay handover points and post-stage services such as prize giving and catering for the Intégrale finishers.
