Dodentocht – Walking for a better world!

Dodentocht – Walking for a better world! is the long‑running non‑competitive 100 km walk organised by 100Km Dodentocht – Kadee vzw, with the 57th edition scheduled to start in Bornem on 14 August 2026. The event is a night‑time endurance walk that traditionally begins in the Bornem town centre and finishes back in Bornem the following day, with official checkpoint opening and closing times published in the Parcours 2026 document. The organiser emphasises safety, volunteer support and a strong community atmosphere while maintaining a participant cap to ensure feasibility and support for walkers.

Participants are provided with a fully marked parcours (GPX and PDF route files available), multiple staffed control/refreshment posts and medical support along the route, and a commemorative medal and diploma on successful completion. The route is largely wheelchair‑accessible with alternatives where required, and practical information (parking, public transport, packet pickup) and optional extras are handled via the official registration system. Registration and detailed participant rules are published on the event website and the dedicated tickets portal.
