Course of the Escalade

Course de l’Escalade (English: Course of the Escalade) is a two-day, community-focused running festival held in Geneva’s Vieille-Ville (Old Town). The event combines a popular, festive atmosphere with high-level competition, attracting recreational runners, families and elite athletes across several race formats. The official programme spans the first weekend of December and is presented by the Association Course de l'Escalade with principal support from local partners and sponsors.

The weekend uses historic streets around Promenade des Bastions and other Old Town locations as the race arena, offering a mix of children’s events, walking options, relays and elite races. Multiple race formats are available for different ages and abilities, with registration, detailed race pages and live results published on the organiser’s website. Participants and spectators are directed to the official event site for registration, start lists, practical information and up-to-date results.
