Cheshire 10k 2026 | Delamere Forest | Race for Life – Cancer Research UK is a charity 10K run raising funds for Cancer Research UK. The event is chip‑timed and aimed at runners and walkers from age 16 and over, offering a supportive atmosphere for all abilities. It takes place on Sunday 17 May 2026 with a 09:00 start, centred at the Delamere Forest visitor centre and café. Participants are encouraged to fundraise to support life‑saving cancer research while enjoying the event experience.
The course is a scenic loop around the lake and through Delamere Forest, featuring mixed gravel tracks, some undulating sections and a finishing climb up Old Pale Hill with countryside views. The site is accessible on foot from Delamere Train Station (approximately 300m) and has parking at the main forest car park with an on‑the‑day discounted rate; members can park free. The event welcomes supporters and families and finishes with a picnic and celebration area, though the route has been assessed as not wheelchair accessible and pushchairs are not suitable. Organisers provide accessibility support such as sunflower wristbands and British Sign Language content via QR code on the event page.
