Brighton 5k 2026 | Race for Life – Cancer Research UK is a community fundraising event taking place at Stanmer Park on Sunday 28 June 2026. The 5k distance is designed to be inclusive and achievable, welcoming walkers, joggers and runners of all abilities and encouraging participants to fundraise for life‑saving cancer research. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK as part of its Race for Life series and combines active participation with charitable giving and peer support. Participants are invited to join a warm‑up on the day and to enjoy a sociable atmosphere with supporters present.
The course runs mainly on grass through fields and woodland and includes uneven ground and some steep inclines, so sturdy footwear is recommended and the route may be boggy in wet conditions. The start and finish are located in the field next to the playground by Lower Lodges Car Park West and a what3words reference (pirate.voter.saves) is provided for precise navigation. Event information highlights accessible travel options including local buses, an approximate eight‑minute walk from Falmer station and blue badge parking within the park, while noting the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. After the run there is a relaxed, family‑friendly vibe with spectators welcome and opportunities for a post‑race picnic in the park.
