The 3. Braunsberglauf 2026 is a compact trail running event held on Saturday 5 September 2026 around the Braunsberg near Hainburg an der Donau. The race weekend features a summit-inclusive main route of about 9 km with roughly 350 metres of ascent, a shorter 5 km option of about 150 metres elevation, and a family run of approximately 2.7 km that starts in a timed window. The event is presented in German as "3. Braunsberglauf 2026" and is promoted by the local organiser group; GPX routes for each distance are provided to help competitors prepare.
The start and finish are at the Naturfreunde Paddelzentrum on Donaulände 1a, with bib and chip collection from 08:00 to 09:30 on race morning and a late on-site registration window (cash only) until 08:30. The main races begin at 10:00 and an awards ceremony is scheduled for 12:00; the family run has an individual start window between 08:30 and 09:00 and children receive a start number with a chip.
