Belchen Mountain Run: from Schönau im Schwarzwald up to Belchenhaus

The Belchen-Berglauf (Belchen Mountain Run) is a single-day mountain running event staged by Turn- und Sportverein Schönau im Schwarzwald and forms part of the Schwarzwald-Berglauf-Pokal series. This 20th‑anniversary edition features an 11.4 km uphill course from Rathaus Schönau (Talstraße) to the Belchenhaus with 824 metres of ascent, largely across open meadow landscapes and offering extensive views over the Black Forest toward the Alps. The route is white‑marked and promoted as a scenic, challenging mountain run suitable for competitive and experienced recreational runners.

Event logistics include race-number pickup on the morning of the event and an award ceremony in the Mehrzweckhalle, with post‑race return transport organised by the Belchen Seilbahn and buses back to the valley.
