The Belchen-Berglauf (Belchen Berglauf) is a traditional mountain run held in Schönau im Schwarzwald that climbs from the town centre to the Belchenhaus. The course covers 11.4 kilometres with an overall ascent of 824 metres, combining broad forest roads and asphalt sections and offering open sections with views towards the Swiss Alps. The event is organised by Turn- und Sportfreunde Schönau 1896 e.V. and is staged as a single main race with age-group and team classifications.
Race day logistics include bib collection from 10:30 at the Mehrzweckhalle in Schönau and a race start in the town centre (between the church and the Rathaus) at 13:00. On-course support comprises three drink stations and three sponge stations, luggage transport to the Belchen for participants and a complimentary return via the Belchen Seilbahn and bus for runners. The event offers prizes for category podiums and a dedicated course-record prize and concludes with a prize ceremony in the Mehrzweckhalle.
