Eastbourne Seafront (start of the South Downs Way), Bede's Prep School vicinity, Eastbourne
The Beachy Head Marathon Weekend is a multi-distance off-road running festival based on the Eastbourne seafront and the start of the South Downs Way. The event umbrella includes the Marathon, Beachy Head Ultramarathon, Beachy Head 10K and the Beachy Head Half Marathon across the weekend and is promoted on the Visit Eastbourne site as returning for its 46th year. The courses are described as scenic yet challenging, taking runners through the South Downs National Park and along coastal downs with extensive route maps provided on the event pages.
The organiser highlights entries as open for all races and provides separate registration and route pages, volunteer information and past results for reference. The Ultramarathon is promoted as a composite challenge (the 10K route plus the traditional marathon route) with a stated total of approximately 52.6 kilometres and limited entry spaces with eligibility rules. Start and finish are on Eastbourne Seafront at the start of the South Downs Way, with further event logistics and spectator guidance available from the official event pages.
