The Semi-Marathon du Pays-Basque Donibane Hondarribia (locally referred to as Donibane Lohizune – Hondarribia) is a cross-border half marathon linking Saint-Jean-de-Luz in France to Hondarribia in Spain. The race showcases the Basque coast with extended seaside panoramas, towns and cliff-top viewpoints, and finishes on the historic Calle Mayor near the Parador de Hondarribia. The organiser presents the course as largely urban and coastal with a short pavé section close to the finish and a downloadable GPX track available for participants.
The route is entirely closed to vehicular traffic and is described as predominantly asphalt with approximately 100 metres of cobbles near kilometre 21; the course has a cumulative elevation gain of 225 m and a maximum altitude of about 66 m. The event carries a strict maximum finish time of 2 hours 45 minutes and provides practical services such as bag transport and roadside aid stations. Practical information, registration modalities and bib pickup details are published on the official Donibane-Hondarribia site and in the event regulations.
