Course des Crêtes du Pays Basque (the "Course des Crêtes") is an annual multi-distance trail festival centred on the village of Espelette in the French Basque Country, celebrating its 49th edition in 2026. The event brings together a programme of races and walks that run on ridge and forest trails around Espelette, combining steep climbs and panoramic mountain views with a convivial local atmosphere. Distances range from short night runs and family walks to longer trail formats that attract regional runners and outdoor enthusiasts.
The event is organised by ASC Napurrak and features both competitive trail races (including 30 km and 21 km options) and non-competitive walks and Nordic-walking formats, plus a nocturnal race. The organiser emphasises sustainability: participants must carry and present their own reusable drinking container at aid stations to reduce disposable waste.
