The 36. Kaltenkirchener Stadtlauf (Kaltenkirchener Stadtlauf) returns to Kaltenkirchen on 1 May 2026 as a community-focused city running festival with distances for all ages. The programme centres on a measured 5 km loop used for both the 5 km race and the two-lap 10 km main race, and the event highlights a new 4x2.5 km team relay allowing company, family or friend teams to compete together. Organised by the Kaltenkirchener Turnerschaft von 1894 e. V., the event also stages school and Bambini races and offers chip timing for the main distances, a finisher medal and participant bag.
Practicals such as packet pickup are published in advance (including a pickup day on 30 April) and the organiser provides detailed course maps, timing and award rules on the event website. The event package explicitly includes a medal for finishers, a sports bag and a 20% HolstenTherme discount voucher, while special provisions cover school awards and Bambini T-shirts for early entrants.
