The 28. Maare-Mosel-Lauf is an evening multi-race running festival held in the Eifel around Gillenfeld and the Nürburg Quelle, promoted on the official site as "Erlebnislauf im Land der Maare und Vulkane". The event combines a scenic half marathon, a 10 km main race, a 5 km race (including an age-specific 16–17 category), a non-timed GesundLand walking route, and a programme of children's races. Late‑afternoon starts lead into post-race live music and an award ceremony, creating a community atmosphere for runners, families and spectators.
Registration is handled via the event's registration pages and Runtix links and offers early-bird, regular and on-site (late) pricing tiers with a specified €5 late registration surcharge for on-site entries. Start documents are posted to entrants if registration is completed at least seven days before the race, otherwise packets may be collected on the event day from 15:00 at Schule am Pulvermaar in Gillenfeld. The organiser emphasises the natural setting, varied distances for different abilities and free children's participation in the Bambini/kids categories.
