The 27. OEM Oberelbe-Marathon (Oberelbe-Marathon) is a multi-distance running festival scheduled for 26 April 2026 that follows the Elbe river from Königstein in the Sächsische Schweiz to Dresden. The event blends landscape running with urban finishline atmosphere and is promoted as a sightseeing run with highlights including Pirna, the "Blaues Wunder" bridge and the Dresdner Altstadtsilhouette. Distances range from a full marathon through half marathon, 10 km and 5 km races to short children's events, making the weekend suitable for elite athletes, hobby runners and families alike.
Core weekend features include a two-day runners' expo (Läufermesse), a marathon-accompanying Dampferfahrt (boat trip) for spectators and companion services, and optional Puma x OEM finishers' apparel available to pre-book during registration. The event is organised by Oberelbe-Marathon e.V. with operational support from xperience sport & events, and the official registration window for the 26 April 2026 edition is announced to open in mid-July 2025.
