The 25. Bocholter Citylauf is a jubilee city road race held in Bocholt’s city centre, celebrated as a festival of running with live moderators, DJs and bands along the route. The event uses a certified 2.5 km loop through the Innenstadt with start and finish on the Marktplatz in front of the historic Rathaus; organisers emphasise a lively atmosphere with special 25‑year anniversary messaging and a new logo for the jubilee. Entry for the main public runs is currently sold out while school races remain open, and participants may order an optional exclusive Comfort Running T‑shirt as part of the jubilee edition.
The race day schedule comprises staged evening starts for pupil, school and public races, finishing with the 10 km Volks- und Straßenlauf, and medical support is provided by Malteser Hilfsdienst. The event is organised by local partners including Stadt‑Sport‑Verband Bocholt, Stadt Bocholt, Stadtmarketing Bocholt and Sportfreunde/SF‑97/30 Lowick, with online registration and results handled via the official event pages and the race result portal. Practical services such as bag drop, finish refreshments and on‑site changing facilities are provided and winners’ ceremonies and special awards (including a Bocholter resident prize) form part of the event programme.
