16th Tangermünde Elbdeich Marathon

The 16. Tangermünder Elbdeichmarathon (Tangermünder Elbdeichmarathon) is an annual running festival centred on the Tangermünder Hafen in Tangermünde, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, with the main race day on 12 April 2026. The event showcases a scenic course along the Elbe and through the nearby UNESCO biosphere reserve, offering a nature-focused running experience for road runners and families alike. Multiple distances are available, from the full marathon and Avacon half marathon to a 10 km, a 4.2 km Mini-Marathon and a children’s AOK-Kinderlauf, making the weekend accessible to a wide range of abilities.

Organised by Tangermünder Elbdeichmarathon e.V. in cooperation with the city, the weekend includes an opening ceremony, a marathon expo and support services such as chip timing, regular aid stations and on-site shower/changing facilities. All finishers receive a certificate and a finisher medal, and prize awards are given to top finishers; early-bird registration and online sign-up are handled via the official event website. The event emphasizes community, volunteer support and spectator-friendly festival activities around the harbour area.
