The 11. Tangermünder Lichterlauf is a community evening running event held in Tangermünde on Friday 21 August 2026, combining competitive races with a festive programme. The organisers invite runners of all ages to take part in a scenic setting and promise a lively atmosphere around the start and finish area. Multiple distances are offered, including a children's race, a 5 km and a 10 km, plus a 10 km team relay, with bib collection available in the late afternoon.
After the races the event continues with live music in the start/finish area, featuring the band DIESE TYPEN and free entry for spectators between 21:00 and 23:00. The schedule lists bib pickup from 16:30–18:30 and the children’s race starting at 18:30, making the occasion family-friendly as well as competitive.
