Auesee (Badestrand), In der Aue, 46487 Wesel, Germany
The 15. Weseler Sparkassen Triathlon (15th Weseler Sparkassen Triathlon) is a one-day triathlon festival centred on Auesee in Wesel, Germany, combining open-water swimming, road cycling and closed-loop running. The event brings multiple categories together on the same day, from youth races (Schüler and Jugend) through the Volksdistanz (sprint) to the Kurztriathlon (Olympic distance), and offers relay (Staffel) entries. The race uses a mass start format at the swim beach and is noted for spectator-friendly loops around the transition and the lakeside finish area, creating a lively atmosphere for athletes and onlookers.
Registration for the 2026 edition opens on 2026-02-01 at 12:00 and entries run with staged price windows until the entry deadline; late entries on race day are permitted if spaces remain. The organisers (Weseler TV von 1860 e.V. and Lauffreunde Hadi Wesel e.V./Hadis Wesel) operate Real‑Time Champion chip timing and provide bib/chip collection on race morning, with on-course aid stations, finish-area food and shower/changing facilities. Note that the cycling route is subject to change because of a construction site; start times and the final bike parcours are provisional and will be confirmed in the final Ausschreibung on the official website.
