Zugspitz Ultratrail is billed as Germany’s largest trail‑running event, bringing thousands of runners to the Zugspitze massif for a multi‑day festival of mountain running. The 2026 edition spans 18–20 June and features seven races ranging from a 16 km introduction to a 164 km 100‑mile epic. Starts are spread across five alpine towns, with all routes converging towards the event hub in Garmisch‑Partenkirchen for a celebratory finish. The courses blend rugged alpine terrain with runnable sections, demanding solid preparation and mountain awareness.
The organiser provides comprehensive race‑weekend infrastructure, including an expo area, live tracking and results via the event Live‑Center, and an official photoservice. Training and equipment guidance, medical and physio support, accommodation tips and FAQs are available on the event website to help athletes plan.
