Zoolauf Duisburg | Passing Monkeys and Zebras

The Zoolauf Duisburg (officially titled "Zoolauf Duisburg | Vorbei an Affen und Zebras") is a charity-focused running event held on 26 June 2026 around the Kaiserberg area of Duisburg. The event’s USP is its team-relay format, with the main competitions run as two-person relays where each participant completes two 2.5 km laps, and an accompanying programme of children’s races titled the Mini-Helden Lauf. Zoolauf 2026 supports amphibian conservation efforts at Zoo Duisburg, with proceeds helping to fund a new terrarium and environmental systems for the Costa Rica project featuring the Lemur tree frog. The event mixes sporting competition with family-friendly attractions and fundraising for the zoo’s conservation work.

The event is organised in partnership with Stadtsportbund Duisburg e.V. and staged in and around the Zoo Duisburg (Kaiserberg), with start/finish activity near the Seelöwengehege area. Race categories include a Mini-Helden (bambini) run, a Schülerlauf, a 5 km Nordic-walking/walking event and several two-person relay categories (mixed, women, men).
