The event known on the organiser's site as "X-treme Battle Heroldstatt – Das härteste Bättle der Schwäbischen Alb" is a mixed obstacle and trail weekend on the Schwäbische Alb that offers long and short formats. Distances are offered at ~16 km (long) and ~9 km (short), with an additional family-friendly Kids Battle during the weekend. The long course has a measured ascent of roughly 350 metres and the routes run over natural trail terrain with notable climbs and a number of man-made obstacles; there are also Alb-Run options without obstacles for participants who prefer a pure trail run.
Logistics are a core feature: the event uses wave starts (approximately every ~3 minutes) to limit congestion at obstacles, transponder timing worn on the ankle (reusable, mandatory return), and results and printable certificates are published online after the event. The finish area at Sportzentrum Heroldstatt provides free beverages and light snacks, showers and changing facilities, secure bag drop, and an after-Battle party with food and music. Registration is handled via the organiser’s registration partner (Datasport) with on-site number pickup available the evening before and on race morning; the organiser publishes detailed arrival, parking and start-packet collection information on the official site.
Spectators are welcome along the course (on foot or by bicycle) and the course is colour-marked to help navigation for the two distances.
