Royal Windsor Racecourse, Off Maidenhead Road, Windsor SL4 5JJ, United Kingdom
The Windsor Pretty Muddy 5k 2026 is a Race for Life obstacle run organised by Cancer Research UK, taking place at Royal Windsor Racecourse. The event combines a roughly 5 km course on mixed tarmac and grass with muddy obstacles where participants can "climb, crawl and slide" at their own pace. Pretty Muddy events use staggered wave starts (waves every 15 minutes) and participants are invited to choose a preferred start time to help keep the course safe and sociable. The event emphasises fundraising for cancer research, with guidance and support provided to help meet the minimum fundraising target.
The venue places the start and finish on grass opposite the main racecourse buildings with spectator-friendly areas nearby for picnics and post-event gathering. Facilities listed include refreshments, toilets and free event parking, while organisers note the event is not suitable for wheelchair users and that some grass sections cannot be avoided. Practical logistics such as drop-off points, blue-badge parking, nearby train stations and a what3words meeting point are provided to assist attendees and volunteers. The event is part of the wider Race for Life series raising funds for Cancer Research UK.
