VVO Upper Elbe Marathon (OEM)

The VVO Oberelbe-Marathon (OEM) is a scenic multi-distance running event that follows the Elbe River from the Saxon Switzerland area into the heart of Dresden. The 27th edition is scheduled for 26 April 2026 and comprises a full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, a 2.7 km Minimarathon and a 400 m Bambinilauf for children. Races finish in the Heinz‑Steyer‑Stadion in Dresden, with the marathon starting in Königstein and featuring a unique marathon‑accompanying paddle steamer (Dampferfahrt) for spectators.
