Voralpentrail

The Voralpentrail is a mountain marathon held in Mank on 8 August 2026. It features a single marathontrail of 42 kilometres with approximately 1,300 metres of ascent, challenging runners over trails and off‑road terrain. The race starts at Rathausplatz in Mank and finishes at the Zettelbachstüberl in Großaigen, providing a point‑to‑point route through the Mostviertel hills. The event is organised by Laufclub Mank and is aimed at experienced trail runners seeking a technical, scenic challenge.

Race day logistics include a 09:30 start, bib collection at Stadtsaal Mank (Rathaus) on the morning of the race, and showers/changing at Turnsaal Mank with a taxi transfer from the finish back to Mank. Entries include a pasta voucher and a starter bag, with food and drink stations along the course and at the finish for competitor support. An awards ceremony (Siegerehrung) is scheduled for 17:00, followed by a social gathering at the finish venue.
