Vintage-Tour Donau

The Vintage-Tour Donau is a non‑timed vintage cycling tour taking place on 30 August 2026, starting at the Lenz Moser Weinkellerei in Rohrendorf bei Krems. Participants may choose between two route options — the 69 km Vintage‑Tour and the 99 km Vintage‑Tour+ — both departing at 10:00 and routed through the scenic Wachau and surrounding wine‑country roads. The event is explicitly for classic bicycles built up to and including 1990 and emphasises period appearance, clothing and riding style rather than competition. Route support and marshals secure the course to allow a relaxed touring experience.

Technical inspection of bikes is carried out on site against the published participation conditions and detailed equipment rules, and period clothing is encouraged for authentic vintage character. Safety measures include police and marshal protection, private motorcycle escort and medical emergency support provided by the Red Cross. On‑site services include a Vintage Rad Verein shop, regional food stops and official event photography (Sportograf) galleries.
