The Vienna Trail Run (officially titled "Vienna Trail Run – Trailrunning‑Genuss über den Dächern Wien") is a one‑day trail running event around Cobenzl on 18 October 2026 featuring three distinct distances for different abilities. The races run on varied, carefully selected trails through the autumnal Wienerwald with start and finish at the Waldgrill/Cobenzl event area. The event emphasises sustainability, being run as an ÖkoEvent Plus since 2022 and awarded the Austrian Environment Label for Green Events in 2023, and it offers a reusable high‑quality goodie (Asics shoe bag indicated for 2025) alongside digital vouchers and waste‑reduction measures.
Practical services include chip timing (TIME NOW SPORTS OG), bib collection on the preceding Saturday at WEMOVE Runningstore Wien Mitte and on‑site collection on race morning, a secure bag drop at the event grounds and multiple aid stations on course; there are no shower facilities. The three race options (Light Trail, Rock it. Classic Trail and the 25GRAMS Power Trail) cover short to challenging single‑lap trail routes with significant elevation gain and are aimed at both newcomers and experienced trail runners, with public transport access recommended due to very limited parking.
