Vertical Nasego e Trofeo Nasego is a two‑race mountain running festival based in Casto, Lombardy, held across the weekend of 5–6 September 2026. The programme pairs the short, steep Vertical Nasego (about 3.7 km with approximately 1,000 m of ascent) with the longer Trofeo Nasego (roughly 21.4 km and about 1,330 m of ascent), both finishing in the Famea/Corna di Savallo area. The event is organised locally by ABCF Comero with ENDU hosting the event pages and benefits from federative backing and listing on the World Athletics / WMRA calendar. The weekend also features youth races and national‑team invitations under the evolving "Seven Nations" format.
Race logistics place finish‑area services at Famea including on‑mountain refreshment points, changing rooms, showers and post‑race catering, and a special garment transport service to deliver small change bags to the high‑altitude finish. Courses run from Casto centre up to the summit via roads, mule tracks and mountain trails; the Vertical emphasises a sustained uphill vertical kilometre while the Trofeo mixes fast roller sections, long ascents and technical descents. The festival framing adds cultural programming and spectator‑friendly ceremonies and prizegivings at the Centro Sportivo di Famea. As an international fixture on WMRA/World Athletics listings, the event attracts elite international athletes alongside community and youth participation.
