Trail du Barrage

The Trail Festival du Barrage (also presented as Trail du Barrage) is a weekend trail running festival held around the Nisramont dam in the Parc naturel des Deux Ourthes in the Belgian Ardennes. The event brings a broad programme of distances for all levels, from short kids' trails to a long 48.66 km race, and retains a popular mixed Trail–Kayak–Trail duo format. Environmental measures and logistical notes — notably a strict no disposable plastic cups policy and a recommendation that participants bring a personal cup — are emphasised alongside practical information about bib collection and on-course aid stations.

The 2026 edition is presented with a revised start/finish site at Warempage in Ortho and a weekend schedule with secretariat and bib collection on Friday evening and race activity on Saturday. Several races are UTMB-indexed, making the longer distances relevant for runners tracking UTMB qualification, and GPX files and course profiles are available from the official event page. Post-race activities for families and runners, plus local accommodation suggestions and a kidsrun programme, round out the festival atmosphere.
