Thunder in the Valley

Gear up for the Thunder in the Valley Triathlon, which marks a whopping 40 years of sporting excellence in 2025! This is a USAT Certified spectacle, and we've got the works to make sure it's a race you'll never forget. With custom 40th-anniversary swag like die cast finisher medals, race bibs, swim caps, and a retro t-shirt, your race day memories are set to last a lifetime. The event kicks off at 8 am with a refreshing 500m swim in Hawthorne Lake, followed by a scenic yet challenging 20K bike ride, and a 5K run through tranquil, tree-lined paths. And for those who prefer a different challenge, the Duathlon replaces the swim with an additional run, offering the same great vibe and competitive spirit. Post-race, join us for celebrations with awards and refreshments, because whether you're a seasoned athlete or a first-timer, this event is for you!
