CXC4L is proud to announce that we will be hosting the Newark Mile again in 2025. The race will take place along its traditional 2.5 mile (4km) course along the Newark Days parade route. We are pleased to be hosting the 40th running of this local Newark favorite in partnership with the Newark Days Celebration!
The start and finish line is at the intersection of Chapman and Cedar in front of the Newark Community Center. The race starts on the eastbound side of Cedar Blvd with a leftward U turn onto the westbound side of Cedar near Lake Blvd. Then, it continues with a left turn onto the northbound side of Newark Blvd and a leftward U turn near Musick Ave remaining on the northbound direction of Newark Blvd. The last turn is back on to the eastbound side of Cedar Blvd for the finish.
Early packet pick up on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm in front of the Newark Community Center. Race day check-in between 7:00 am and 8:30 am.
Registration fee is $34, with a price increase after September 5, 2025 at 11:55pm PDT.
Check in between 7:00 am and 8:30 am in front of the Newark Community Center. The check-in table will close promptly at 8:30 am.
Participants should bring their race bib, timing chip, and Newark Mile T-shirt.
Race day is September 20, 2025. The Newark Mile 4kids will take place at 8:30 am.
All runners get a special edition finisher medal. Trophies for the first overall male and female, first Newark resident male and female, and medals for the top 3 males and females in each age group.
Parking in Newark Days lots will not be available. Participants and spectators are advised to park on residential streets.
