Tempting at Tempsey is a one-day trail running event held at Temple Newsam, Leeds, organised by Its Grim Up North Running. The course uses the parkland, gardens and woodland around Temple Newsam House and is described as an undulating mix of path, grass and trail under varied terrain. Multiple looped distances are offered on the same course layout, allowing runners to choose between a single loop up to four loops for the marathon option. The event is licenced by the Trail Running Association and provides downloadable GPX files and clear signage for navigation.
The organiser operates a cup-less approach at feed stations and encourages participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle; aid stations with drinks and food are positioned roughly every three miles. There are marshals on course, toilets near the start/finish, and practical arrival guidance including paid parking at Temple Newsam and public-transport links to Leeds. The race briefing and detailed information are published on the official event pages and competitors are advised to read the site notes and route maps before the race.
