Prepare to take on the iconic Toad Mountain in Nelson, BC, with the return of the Tackle the Toad trail race. This thrilling event kicks off Canada Day weekend with runners experiencing a challenging route through stunning single track trails surrounded by ancient Cedar forests and soaring up into the rocky alpine ridge lines overlooking Kootenay Lake. With the option to tackle either a 20k or 50k distance, participants will face hard climbs, technical descents, and breathtaking views that showcase the best of Kootenay mountain running. Supported by Nelson Running Club and Nelson Cycle Club, a portion of the race fees go towards maintaining the picturesque trails in the area.
