Nikolauslauf 2025 is the annual community run organised by ALV Mainz e.V. in the Lennebergwald near Mainz‑Gonsenheim. The event follows the green‑marked official running routes on mostly even forest paths, creating a scenic and accessible trail experience. Course marshals are positioned at key points to guide participants and maintain a friendly, well‑supported atmosphere.
Runners can choose between a single‑lap short course and a two‑lap longer option through the woods, with a dedicated children’s and youth run rounding out the programme. Electronic timing is provided via a transponder integrated into the race bib, ensuring accurate results without extra equipment. Entry numbers are limited for the main races to preserve a relaxed, club‑run feel and smooth logistics on the trails.
