The SSGT Javier Ortiz Memorial Run includes a competitive run and a Fitness Walk. Organized in honor of Javier Ortiz Rivera, this event is an opportunity to support TAPS, which aids families of fallen heroes. Participation awards, refreshments, and festival access are included. The first 150 registered participants receive a t-shirt, and the course features water stops, a digital display clock, and computerized results. The event holds special races for children with no registration required. Awards include cash prizes, medals for top finishers, masters, and age-group victors.
