SpoWo-Lauf "Rund um die Kleinleipischer Hochkippe" 2026 is a community-focused, Volksport-style running event held on the sports grounds of SV "Glück Auf" Kleinleipisch in Lauchhammer OT Kleinleipisch. The event presents looped courses through forest and meadow within a former open-cast mining landscape, largely on firm forest and grass surfaces with a few short climbs. It is organised as part of the club's Sportwoche and traditionally attracts a mixed field of runners, walkers and families in an informal, all-comers format. Manual timing is used and finishers receive printed certificates, with medals awarded while stocks last and prizes presented at a final ceremony.
The 2026 programme offers multiple distances (10.5 km, 7 km, 3.6 km and a 0.8 km children's run) and longer routes are also open to walkers and Nordic walkers; several race formats start together on the club grounds. The race is regularly included in regional series such as the Niederlausitz-Cup and the Lausitz-Laufserie, and registration is available via the organiser's site or through the regional timing partner, with on-site registration permitted. Facilities at the venue include ample free parking, changing and shower provision and aid stations on course and at the finish. Participants are required to confirm their health suitability and take part at their own risk, with parental responsibility required for minors in certain categories.
