Spencerville Adventist Academy 5K, 1 Mile Race, and Kids Fun Run

Event Overview

This will be the 9th Annual Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) 5K Cross-Country Style Race and Fun Run that will take place Rain or Shine on our beautiful Campus. Spencerville Adventist Academy, established in 1943, opened our current State of the Art School facility in 2011.

All Race participants ANY DISTANCE will receive a complimentary Race T-shirt, along with a beautiful finisher's medal to commemorate this event. There will be awards for the winners in each category.

Students will be able to compete against their classmates. Awards for Top Female and Male in each class will be awarded as well as fastest Male and Female in Elementary, Middle and High School.

We will also be presenting an award for best costumes. If you aren't fast, you can still win by coming out and participating in a "Fun" outfit.

You can also Create or Join a team with your family or friends!

IMPORTANT!!! The class with the highest registration numbers (Per Capita) will receive money for their class to help with class fundraising. So, make sure ALL your classmates get registered. IF EVERYONE IN THE CLASS registers, we will DOUBLE the donation to the class!

Course Description & Map

The 5K Race/Walk will allow a rolling start between 9 am and 10am. Rain or Shine. Course: 5K Cross Country Course that will take you 3 Laps around the SAA property.

The 1M Race/Walk will allow a rolling start between 9am and 10am. Rain or Shine. Course: 1 Mile Cross Country Course that will take you 1 Lap around the SAA property.

The 1K Hornet Fun Run will begin approximately at 11 am. Rain or Shine. Course: 1K Cross Country Course that will take you around the SAA building. Children 9 and under only.

Schedule

Currently all events are expected to run between 9:00am and 10:00am, with awards at 11:00am. Final details will be e-mailed to participants prior to the race.

1 Mile Fun Run: $11.60 - $32.80
Kids Fun Run: $11.60 incl. $1.60 Fee Registration ends May 4, 2025 at 10:00am EDT Open to ages 9 and under.

What to Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles and any personal items needed for the race.

Parking will be limited on campus but we will have additional parking available at Burtonsville Park located behind the school off Oursler Road if needed.

Awards & Categories

Trophies will be given to the fastest overall Male and Female finishers. There will be awards for Fastest Female and Male in each classroom grade. Awards will be presented in 10 year age categories for runners above school age starting at 18 years old.
