Three countries, picturesque lake shores and impressive mountains frame the Sparkasse 3‑Länder‑Marathon, a point‑to‑point road race from Lindau in Germany to a rousing finish in the stadium at Bregenz, Austria. Runners trace the shoreline of Lake Constance with constant Alpine views, pass the floating stage of the Bregenzer Festspiele, cross briefly into Switzerland at St. Margrethen, and return along the Rhine embankment to the finish.
