Solihull 5k 2026 is part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life series and invites people of all abilities to walk, jog or run in support of life‑saving cancer research. The 5k distance is presented as an achievable challenge for many and is suitable for first‑time participants, with no pressure to finish within a particular time. Entrants can take part solo or in groups, enjoy a communal pre‑race warm‑up and soak up a friendly, family‑oriented atmosphere on the day. Fundraising is central to the event, with participants encouraged to raise donations that directly support Cancer Research UK.
The course starts and finishes in Malvern Park, Solihull, running on a flat mixture of grass and tarmac paths through Malvern and Brueton Park and located between the square hedged gardens and the tennis courts. Event facilities noted on the official page include refreshments and toilets, bike racks in Brueton Park, and accessibility measures such as sunflower wristbands and BSL stage content via QR code, while the organisers advise the course is not suitable for wheelchairs because of grassed sections. There is no official event car parking and Malvern Park car park is closed for the duration of the event, so attendees are advised to use Solihull town centre car parks or public transport. Sign‑up and fundraising guidance are available via the Race for Life event page and entries contribute directly to Cancer Research UK.
