The Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon, presented by Nuun in support of The Shakespeare Hospice, takes place in Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 26 April 2026. Organised by RunThrough in partnership with Stratford Rotary Club, the event offers both a half marathon (one lap) and a full marathon (two laps) on a primarily closed-road route that returns to the Recreation Ground for the finish. The course passes the racecourse and the villages of Luddington and Welford-on-Avon, and uses sections of the Stratford Greenway footpath to re-enter the town.
Runners can expect a flat, PB-friendly profile on hard compact surfaces for much of the route, clear wayfinding and marshal support, and an event village-style finish at the Recreation Ground. Entries are open via the official event pages and the organisers highlight charity fundraising in support of The Shakespeare Hospice. The event features race chip timing, finisher medals and official event photography as part of the participant experience.
